Appearance: A stout Neraph with dull patchy skin, in a range of color from pale mustard yellow to murky rust red.

Personality: Vao is brusque and abrasive with all humans, and slightly less so with other humanoids and animals. He has a somewhat dirty (if alien) sense of humor, and while he was trained to hunt and hate humans, he does not truly bear them ill will, and will help people more often than not, usually downplaying his contributions.

Background: Born to the Wind Spear house of Neraphim in Limbo, Vao is like many young disaffected Neraphim who end up exiled after offending one of the higher-ups. Trained as a hunter of men, he now works with them as a wilderness guide and gamesman.
