Appearance: A Pink and black girl of indeterminate species. Unnaturally thin, though not emaciated… just narrow. She dresses in simple travelers clothes.
Personality: October 'Toby' Tanenhaus is an aggressive caretaker, she regards friends and companions with an almost possessive air, destroying anything that threatens them. Mercurial temperament, quick to anger, quick to laugh. Bit of a Tomboy. Confident, friendly and self-assured for the most part, though occasionally selfconscious about her capabilities and abilities, especially after a setback or failure.
Background:
A political activist and rebel as a youth, she was a member of a revolutionary cell, The Order of Freedom. She was a valued member, thanks to the powerful nature of her celestial blood, granting her abilities far beyond the norm, abilities she was proud of to the point of arrogance. When the Order was crushed by the government and the members rounded up and marched before the authorities, she was crushed to learn that the righteous cause she had believed in and brought for was in fact just a money-making, power grabbing scheme, and that she had been used. She was put to the question, and when it was discovered that she and some of the others had no idea as to the true nature of the Order, and given the fact that they had contained their activities mostly to graffiti, roughhousing and rallies, it was decided to make an example of them rather than execute them. Each punishment was tailored to the individual, and her own was this- That she could not use magical devices, or carry more equipment than the bare minimum needed to survive. If she does, her Celestial powers become blocked, and the Curse was bonded insidiously to her, so that it could never be removed. A revolution cannot be fought without supplies or weapons, it was thought. Then she was released. Now, she adventures, determined not to let the curse hamper her ability to do good, though her zeal to defend individual freedom has somewhat diminished.
