Player: The Bastard
Race: Grey Elf
Class: Rogue 4
Alignment: Neutral
Appearance: Three is a grey elf with silver hair and golden eyes. The flawless, three foot braid shines perfectly, with six large needle like ornaments sticking out and up at an angle. His face is young, and he is constantly gazing at everything with youthful desire. He is elegant in looks and gait, wearing a full suit of woven silk clothing that never stains, and seems to draw the eyes attention. The vest is hiding a suit of chainmail, but the quality of both work together to ensure it is difficult to see. He stands about 5'7", as grey elves near the height of humans, and weighs 110lbs.
Personality: Three. Is. Greedy. He is a schemer, though not dishonest, always thinking of what people want, and how he can bring it to them. He has the mindset of a classical merchant: He wants to get rich making his customers happy. He is also a bit of a gypsy, enjoying caravan life over regular business life, even if less profits can be made.
Background: Until about the age of 60, Three was raised by monks of Fharlanghn. It was there that he learned an appreciation for the world, particularly roads. Over those sixty years, hundreds of travelers stopped at the wayshrine for a place to sleep and eat, and the monks were happy to share their food and shelter. Three spoke with many people, until he found a particular merchant who took a great interest in the young elf's enthusiasm for the profession of mercantile.
Three set off with this man, and has spent the last forty years serving as his companion, picking up tools of the trade, and earning a great deal of pay. That man, a few years back, decided to retire, and open up an urban shop, his age preventing him from traveling. Now a young adult, Three set off on his own.
His name, Three, is a rough translation from Elven into Common. His actual, Elven name is a single word used by the elves for the scenario where one comes across a split in the path. One way is easy, but less rewarding, while the other is harder, but more satisfying. Unable to translate it without turning it into a long speech, he takes the common name Three.
Dragon Port: Three's Business Unusual (Three's Journal, written in Elven letters)
Entry 1:
Day 1:
I must have amongst all the people in the world some of the finest luck. I was busy showing up some drunkard for cash, when I got invited to a wedding. Nobles, it looked like. Bet there will be plenty of well known, well dressed people there. Will try to get my name out.
Day 2:
My luck only continues. Today, I protected a noblewoman at her own wedding! Good thing I didn't get into actual combat. I was clearly out of my league. Still, it was a pleasant situation. Used some of the drunkard's money to buy her some cinnamon.
Day 3:
Incredible. Simply, incredible. Today, we managed to acquire the house of the man who attacked us yesterday. It's even in my name! It is mostly my house anyway, from what I understand. The others all have other places to be, but this is my only home. Moved my wagons here, and started storing goods. There is a skulk named Harjeeves who did most of the work for me. I knew I would hit it rich, but things went fast.
