The Veiled Society

DESCRIPTION

Following the Phylactery Wars and the creation of the College of Necromancy, Ra-men decided that a strong stealth component was needed to supplement the College's strong magical and military might. After a long period of courting and recruitment, the Veiled Society was born.

The Veiled Society purpose is to support the College of Necromancy and remove sensitive targets as well as covertly gather information. The Veiled Society takes care to avoid detection as much as possible, they prefer to be thought of as a rumor.

NAMING

The Veiled Society's name has a triple meaning.

1. The organization is veiled in the sense that it is hidden from regular dealings but lying close beneath the surface.
2. The organization is dangerous, as in a veiled dagger, threat, or enemy.
3. The organization deals with the veil that separates life, death and undeath.

APPEARANCE

The Veiled Society's members tend to favor purple and black as their colors.

# Adventure Date Actions 1 The Veiled Society part 1 11-30-2011 Gethras - the one who has assassinated Laila Vorloi few moments before - confronted the party but after getting within reach of Altharid's tentacles he was beaten unconscious shortly thereafter. The party interrogated the Veil's member and learned about Flaviare's possible connection to the organization. The thug died few moments later because of sudden decapitation performed on him by enraged Varish Vorloi. 2 The Veiled Society part 2 12-07-2011 Flaviare started some riots in order to damage Torenscu. After a chase the adventurers fought with around 20 Veil acolytes (?) led by the nobleman in Cinder House. After losing one party member the (anti)heroes were forced to retreat to the Floating Library. Hiroshi's prophecy about the rise of necromantic powers appears to be directly related to the Veil's recent activities. 3 The Lost City 01-04-2012 Bayushi Ita began his infiltration of the organization, visiting the Cinder House and witnessing the horrifying stuffing of the poor into bags of holding filled with Shadows. 4 Blood Calls to Blood 02-29-2012 After dominating Rakaar and meeting his parents Sirius acquired some interesting intelligence connected to the organization.
