Origins:

The Silver Cranes guild was started the day after the party completed The Secrets of Temlin's Crown. Mali Ohba and Riani Mierelle were visiting the house of Sidhe Spellweaver. Sidhe Spellweaver was telling fortunes when Mali mentioned starting a guild. Mali explained that she was tired of having to look for work and it would be easier if others sought them out. As a guild, the party could build a reputation. It was determined that the crew need to come up with a guild name. After little debate, it was decided to name the guild after a waterfowl. Long deliberations commenced concerning the color of the waterfowl, which concluded with the selection: silver.

After the long disappearance of Mali, the guild fell into disrepair. When Mali returned, she built up a trade empire and used the funds to start the guild anew. The Silver Cranes is still an adventuring guild, but now they offer vigilante services.

Group Policies:

The Silver Cranes began with one policy. That policy is that all policies concerning The Silver Cranes should be voted on. Mali Ohba and Sidhe Spellweaver voted in favor of this, while Riani Mierelle abstained; presumably because voting on instituting a voting policy is paradoxical in nature.

• Guiding policy of the Silver Cranes is to be decided, specifically, by unanimous consent of voting members after deliberation; unanimity being counted as all consenting or abstaining, with at least one consenting vote.
• Initiating a voting member is to be done similarly.
• Initiating a non-voting member requires the consent of three voting members.

Mission Statement:

The Silver Cranes seek to undertake action requiring unusual heroism for suitable reward, particularly monetary; and to pursue actions to further the glory, prosperity, and joy of our community as a whole and as individuals.

Current Goal:

The Silver Cranes are seeking a charter from a noble family within the city. Accomplished.
They also wish to become fully licensed. Accomplished.
Construct/purchase a guildhall, probably including an alchemy shop for Rinzle. Accomplished.
