Appearance: Shalam has darker skin than most and brown hair and eyes. He is slight of build, but very handsome. He punctuates his accented speech with many emphatic hand gestures.

Personality: Shalam is almost always cheerful, discounting dire circumstances. He is very curious and eager, but at the same time naive regarding many aspects of local culture. He enjoys learning about magic, helping people, and trying to seduce beautiful women (watch out ladies!)

Background: Believe it or not, Shalam is royalty! He is the fourth youngest (of 15) prince of a far away desert kingdom. As he grew, he had access to the best chefs, trainers, servants, etc around. However, he never became spoiled like some of his brothers and always enjoyed spending time with commoners. Like the long line of kings before him, Shalam must compete with his siblings for the throne. This is why he left his nation to travel to Dragonport, hearing tales of many curious things occurring there.

He then goes to eat at Crabbs and becomes seduced and drained by Jella. 5 Pseudo Good Guys 4/7/12 3500 4000 Shalam helps the party guard a caravan of wagons belonging to Kaleem, and defend them against monsters. Afterward, he curiously peeks inside one, only to find the Red Dragon Orb! The Red Dragon King swoops in to grab it, and then saves him from Necromantic fiends. 6 Natantis Turris 4/10/12 1166 1000 Shalam meets RaMaShen while he is in the process of being arrested, and decides to stand up for him. He volunteers to help Ramashen with his community service AKA bandit killing Natantis Turris, seemingly a floating tower.
