DESCRIPTION
Rokugan is an eastern kingdom seperated from The Black Marches by a vast distance of Ocean; however immigrants from Rokugan seem to be slowly but surely making their way across the ocean by various means to lead new lives, often their first stop is Dragonport. Rokugan is ruled by an Emperor who claims to be descended from Ameratsu, the Rokugani sun goddess, and Onnutangu, the Moon god. Rokugan has a rich history of over 1000 years; many of which spent in bitter wars, the Clans of Rokugan are constantly fighting against one another, only pausing when necessary to join forces against evil outside forces.
Rokugani culture is highly regimented and an extreme emphasis is placed on the social order; at the top of this order is the Emperor, Below which come the aristocratic class, Samurai, and Lesser Samurai, Commoners and the Untouchable Class. In Rokugan social mobility is practically unheard of, the only way to increase one's standing in life is through heroics on the battlefield.
