Appearance:
Mike is a bit taller than what one would expect a spellcaster to be, and also also carries a revolver. Umbra is a standard-looking dark/light gray wolf.

Personality:
Mike generally tries to be helpful to others whenever possible. As a sorcerer, he sometimes wishes he was a wizard, but he tries to make do with what he has. Of course, his gunplay has kind of suffered as he focused on learning spells more.
Umbra had received a Pearl of Speech from the Poker Dogs a while back, and she often acts smarter than she has any right to be.
Mike and Umbra also tend to be protective of each other, especially when they aren't focused on a given battle.

Mike used to tend to try to offer solutions to problems other adventurers have, even if they are already solved. He has also asked questions about weird things (like Ra-Men's name).

Background:
Mike was born in a family with a lot of wizards, who used to help the Lion Guard occasionally until the Guard was wiped out. Not much else is known about his family or past. Umbra was found while Mike was in the woods one time. He managed to tame and befriend her eventually.
