Remake Black Marches: Y/N?
There's no point in doing a lot of planning if people don't want to do a radical revamp. Might as well figure out interest before investing a lot of time and energy.
The main points that we seem to be going for:
1. Switch to using Pathfinder as a base with 3.5 additions. Official 3.5 items that are easily converted are allowed as-is. Only base pathfinder things are allowed by default, with additions available on request. (AKA No blanket "D20PFSRD" allowance.) 3.5 concentration may or may not be allowed, depending on what people think.
2. LA are not CR. We'll allow LA rules, but no CR-only templates. Anything too large will be restricted to savage progressions or characters which start beyond level 1.
3. Less bookkeeping. Things are about trust. If you cheat, prepare for appropriate consequences.
4. Some method of clearing up alignment headaches. Alignments can be loose, but alignments are based on the characters, not the other way around.
Am I missing anything?
hum, pf ok source i belive are, Core rule book, Pathfinder advanced player guide, Advanced race guide, ultimate combat and ultimate magic. Does it seem fair?
There is the character reboot issue. I vote for full reboot and every start from scratch.
Alright, so PF things we'll need to address:
- Convert to PF point buy (25, 20, or 15)
- Drawbacks/Traits
- What our basic core material will be
The current idea I'm going for:
- All characters are effectively NPC'ed.
- For any non-level-1 character NPC'ed, you can create a level 3 character.
- Once you have a character of high enough level, you can 'un-retire' a character as appropriate. (You must rebuild them according to new standards, instead of just using their old sheet.)
- It's acceptable to restart a character at level 1, if you're interested in using a pre-existing character.
