A night few would forget…Or remember. Hard to explain in a single phrase. Roughly 95% of the population of Dragonport in a single night was put to sleep by what was found out to be some strange magical poison which worked into the water system to trigger at a specific time of night. Once triggered fires broke out onto a few selected building all across the city. However none of the fire spread as well as traces of necromancy was found at every single fire sight. Damages include 7 orphanages, 5 hospitals, 4 temples, 2 temples of Pelor, 1 temple of Yume, and a single park.
Charlinia took it personally upon herself to consider what had transpired at the time. Calling this a worse case situation would be understating the fact that this entire ploy showed signs of planning to begin with. Her ruffled mane of white hair brushing along quietly in her palm while having taken the moment to have the sewers investigated, and all personnel in charge of sewer maintenance interrogated with little to no luck on who or what caused such a travesty. This being necromancy, kitsune would be the most obvious to scratch off the list of culprits.
Her only thoughts were upon why such select, if not meaningless, targets in HER opinion. Orphanages can be replaced, hospitals can be rebuilt if the sick were dying… No temple she cared about was targeted, and she was rather elated the temples of pelor and yume were handled and taken care of for the time being. Her last thoughts were the park of all places when she went to inspect that alone.
Having no ability to determine what suspects were in the regions of each location at the time besides the obvious, she would only consider this a serial killing in terms of how random yet precise the actions were. It would mean the target had a motive to select those locations alone and no other sections in the city. To figure a mind like this would want to assure such targets were the only ones effected would have to be quite ingenius and albeit quite crazed to take such extremes to make it happen.
"They really went for the religious types, huh?" Seren yawns as he begins investigating, just looking around the area. "Well, something that large scale should leave traces… And if the dead still are around, then it's always possible to ask them."
(For now, he searches and traces the fires to the source, and uses Commune with Spirits to try to see just what's happened in the area. Basics first. Also some mundane search checks.)
Raital's Official Statement: "I didn't do it."
Frozt knows that he should leave this to the professionals, and that most of the work related to this was already done, but he still goes to each area in his full equipment to look for unusual scents.
EDIT 2: I judged too quickly. In any case, I'll just leave this here.
"Suppressive fire won't." Murphy's Laws of Combat
Cael is quite curious about who would poison the water supply, and for what reason. The contained fires were an oddity as well. He heads to each location to investigate.
