Apparently I'm supposed to do this so that Duralan won't flip a table anymore when I say hi and stuff.
I don't really know wher to begin or end. While I had interest in BM as a community and such when I began and really wanted the power differential to lower a few steps. I went over board when I freaked out on Ichai. I couldn't really see that until hindsight though since around the later levels, I was playing a full caster using all the normal tricks and some recommended I do for certain cases by Duralan, yet was still incapable of effectively doing anything but cheer lead.
Not to take away from the end of Bill's arc with Ra'Men, but the Final boss was played no different than any other enemy we had tried to fight. The only difference was that he was marginally more intelligent and had prepared for… two, maybe three of our common tactics. Ra'Men had otherwise failed to set the stage in that time.
There were no environmental abnormalities or field effects that deterred anyone from any particular sort of actions (such as massive damage via time manipulation (time hop, celerity, or even belts of battle). In the end, this became his undoing. His surprising lack of preparation and our (admitedly) over preparation made the final week and a half something I was present for, but ultimately useless to.
Also I realize now that I should have been more of a dick when I was able to play as Garun's Doppleganger and sundered everyone's haversacks/bags of holding that I could.
Anyway… that isn't really what I'm supposed to be doing here.
Syrius - Finally has the family aspect in his life that he never had and has quite a long time to try and grow accustomed to having someone love and support him as well as someones who need his care and support as well (god knows none of you did). In his only remaining guilt, he took it upon himself to use his vast magical prowess to evacuate, purify, and rebuild Dragonport in a more effective design from several social, political, and economic standpoints (Yes, I'll use Magic to emulate the skill checks needed to achieve this if I cannot find NPCs to hire for it). Using programmed images, he would set up a basic infrastructure with the remaining paladins that lived, having it run as a military run transitional government until the population had become sufficient. From there he would leave Dragnport to it's own devices in order to be with his family. As a Dragonborn he is sterile and cannot have offspring, though at the same time he had never found anyone in his travels that would likely have considered him for mating.
On the side he thinks about what happened with Ra'Men. He realizes that the threat of death and conquest motivates some to rise to the occasion for themselves and others. He sometimes contemplates creating a similar scenario with a fake though seemingly real threat to encourage those who seek glory, wealth, or prowess to hone their skills in a more 'real' way, though those that seek it might die in the process. While it would be their own fault, if he could create a guild or academy for just such a purpose, the waiver of entry would have given them the chance to walk away. Perhaps this would be an idea for a later time, when the worries of Ra'Men and the College of Necromancy had become legends.
Maybe he too should fade into such stories, it is not as though anyone needs him any more other than his parents.
Sirion - Nothing's really changed for him since he became the Lizard King. Though he is still trying to promote nationalism within his people rather than their prior dependency on slave labor and otherwise striving to provide them with a ruler than they needed.
Garun - Was away from Dragonport at the Emerald Isles when the Crew invaded and the City was sacrificed. He is unaware if his lecherous/partying vampire father still 'lives'.
That's all my thoughts on stuff…
Personally. if everyone wasn't retardedly broken, I'd have opted to make Syrius a villain, but since you would all murder him in… 2/10's of a turn, I won't be trying at all.
As for the length of the time skip… All my characters would live (and probably be in the same age category) no matter what you picked.
Otherwise… I guess it was fun for a while. I'm taking a break. Spending hours waiting with your guys hoping for the faintest sliver that I might get to take an action for a week and a half was utterly destructive to my desire to play DnD for a while. Good luck and have fun.
