Announcing games at least 5 minutes before they happen

I'd like to request that games be announced at least 5 minutes before they happen. This would be on the calendar page. This would only pertain to combat games as anybody can jump into an rp game.

If you fail to post your non-rp game ahead of time, you cannot limit the time players can join or the number of players you accept.

Hopefully this fixes a problem I just ran into.

I agree with this in principle, but I've been known (with other groups) to just run a game simply because people are in open, on the spur of the moment, and I'm terrible with admin work sometimes.

Same here… I think spur of the moment gaming is key… frankly, catering to the PC base or whoever is on, is best rather than trying to make a set time that might be gone the next hour anyway due to real life items, or similar.

Before you decide to start a game, spontaneously, planned or whatever, a Calendar page needs to be made.

that is all i ask for as I don't always go on the server but usually look at the calendar occasionally (and updates).

I'll abide in the future, but it's the whole 5 minute thing I take issue with… a time limitation, no matter how short, raises my hackles a little.

I'm not speaking on a 5 minute wait, I'm not sure I agree with that, what I am speaking to is the need to make an adventure page before the adventure, doing that both advertises and ensures that the place to make all proper documentation exists and helps ensure that the entire adventure gets documented.
