Are there any races that LOOK human but are actually warforged or something like warforged? Something like an Automatic Doll?

Are there any races that LOOK human but are actually warforged or something like warforged? Something like an Automatic Doll?

I love playing with character concepts even if I never use them or play them. In anime, there is a common character type of a human-like but robotic or magical machine life form. I was just wondering if there were any D&D related artificial life forms that look human or nearly human?

The simplest method would be to just reflavor warforged into what you want. There's nothing in their mechanics that forces them to look any different. Maybe make some Disguise checks.

If that's not enough, you might try looking at the Reforged prestige class.

Nimblewrights are able to… alter self which somehow allows them to disguise as human. (Nimblewright in my campaign replaced that with Disguise Self.) They look like a human wearing covering armor normally.

Maugs are relatively humanlooking under all their grafts, but are also Large size if I recall.

If you won't be allowed to reflavor that warforged of yours… well there is always that Minor Shapeshift ACF from the Mind's Eye Archive.
It grants you the same ability as changelings have… but that requires a level of Psion (Egoist).
