A family was recently slaughtered in dragonport. a man a woman and three kids all murdered brutally. No evidence, prints or anything could be found. This type of job was very sneaky and mystery surrounds these murders. All they could find at the scene of the crime was a wooden raccoon shaped trinket. ((Those looking at the crime scene trinket may roll an opposed Forgery check. Edit: DC: 20))
Bodies begin rising more and more through out the night… many dead men in alley ways one in particular looking very pale and bursted with darkmagic there is a racoon trinket there too. Many more dead, a commoner in an alley way with the same trinket lodged into his eye socket, and now… 2 guards killed an an alley way and 2 trinkets by them. The city has been warned to lock doors and to be careful. there is no leads on the murderer or murderers and are considered to be highly dangerous. ((Those trinkets can be rolled oppossed forgery check dc20 as well))
Mercy will investigate it… She can make the following checks.
Forgery [1d20+21+5] Knowledge Any [1d20+21+5] Search [1d20+21+5] if need be at these crime scenes.
((actually… on that forgery. Only roll forgery if you know that Slick Cooper leaves a raccoon trinket in key places where hes been. Otherwise you really wouldn't know its a forgery now would you? :P. You can however examine the bodies…
Bodies:
Family: You will find the family murdered was murdered with some sort of bludgeoning methods and in some cases strangulation [DC 20 Heal check will tell you they were killed with some kind of cane]
Loser in the Alley way: The murdered seemed to have been cut open in a alley way and gutted [DC 20 Heal check here will tell you that he was killed in the alley way with two large knives.]
2 Guards in Alley way: They were killed in a similar method to the loser in the alley way. succeeding on the Heal check on the loser will determine cause of death for the guards.
That takes care of heal check problems…))
((Moving forward… no knowledge checks will help you here for the Raccoon murders (Unless Jam has a knowledge local for you for Slick). I'm not sure if Karma has seen this yet so… :o. RP wise this is the fuse lighter to my next series of games "Scoundrel vs Scoundrel" these will be more often than not one on ones with Jam. Oh and all heal checks will tell you the murders have taken place very recently at night.))
There is one bartender some where in Dragonport in a bar called the "drunk fairy" that might know something about the black handprint Since one of his tables were marked in a similar way a few months ago .. though if that could lead you to anything i dont know ..
Jason was watching mercy survay the bodies "Nasty stuff," he said unphased in the slightest "though it lacks a certin finese, I don't much like people Butting into my buissness." he said ((sense motive dc [1d20+5+15] ))"though I can't say i'm not happy about two less bugs to take care of."
"Actually it lacks his HMO." Karma strutting along in with silence while her feline cradles on her shoulders. Her eyes skimming around at the numerous types as she looks on at the forgery of the trinket. (( [1d20+29] )) "First off, the craftsmanship is fine, but the possition of the trinket is far off…second…the scene itself isn't the thief's form of calling card. whenever he would be after a target, he would simply show it can be stolen without proof of entry or exit by leaving said trinket with the item that WOULD have been stolen. Thirdly, there has never been a murder related to him, nor do the victims relate to his actions either. In other worse, everything that would be set up would be his calling card. erego, this was done by an assassin that was after his head." Looking over at mercy. "And I know who the faker would be."
"And who are you miss?" he said looking over the woman his twisted corupted face taking in her movements for any movement of attack "What ever, the less ungrateful mongrels i have to kill the better though i will miss the fun of it," he says his voice dry still he picked up the trinket looking closely at it "it looks like it's been aged. is what it looks like." he said pocketing the trinket looking for the man who can age things
"My name is karma cooper. I'm here inspecting on the incident that was happening." looking on with the mans features in motion, though giving no real indication of any other consideration of his actions. Her following of him was quiet as he went to find such a person. "And i'd like to personally find the person who was framing this man."
